This Arabian recipe will deliver incredibly succulent and rich flavoured Lamb rump skewers.
An unripened/mid-ripened hard Tomato is placed atop of each skewer, which marinates the Lamb skewers during the cooking process.
You are left with some of the most succulent meat you have ever tasted with a rich tangy flavour! Simply.. sublime!
Ingredients
- Lamb rump steak
- Mid-ripened tomato (hard to the touch)
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Chilli flakes
- Garlic powder
- Olive oil
- Potatoes (with skin)
Preparation
1/ Put lamb rump steak into mixing bowl
2/ Add salt, pepper, chilli flakes, paprika, garlic powder and olive oil
3/ Thoroughly massage the added ingredients with the lamb
4/ Place one or two tomatoes at the top of each skewer
5/ Thread the pieces of lamb on the skewer (without cutting into pieces)
6/ Cut potatoes in half and place a half under the skewer, it will catch the juices during the cooking process. (tasting amazing!)
7/ Load the Tandoor oven (if it is already ready) with the skewers. Cooking time is approximately 10-15 minutes.
