Description
The Samarkand is the largest in our range of tandoors. It is regal in stature and it’s presence is amplified through an intricate design. Our craftsmen have artistically decorated the tandoor reminiscent of the local historic architecture throughout the ancient city of Samarkand.
Samarkand is recognised as a UNESCO world heritage site as the crossroads of cultures due to it’s significant role in the ancient silk road.
Samarkand was one of the most populated and prosperous cities in Asia. Today it is located in modern Uzbekistan and was formerly part of the Persian Achaemenid Empire, Mongol Empire and even conquered by Alexander the Great at one stage!
Using age-old techniques, our blacksmiths have integrated metalwork with built-in functionality to equip all the necessary accessories.
This tandoor is perfect for backyards, patio, pergola or any designated entertaining area. The Samarkand will surely impress your guests in flavour and prominence.
Suited to large parties and family gatherings, the Samarkand will feed a hungry legion of guests with ease.
The Samarkand is 113cm tall with a belly diameter of 68cm, mouth diameter of 31cm and total weight of 187kg.
